Ian McPhee – Gliding Instructor

Serving Australian Soaring Since 1972

McPhee Aviation began selling gliding instruments in Australia in 1971. In the mid ’70s they imported about 200 low power drain radios, introducing VHF radios to gliding in Australia.  For over 25 years they have been the principal supplier of specialised soaring instruments for Australia, including Winter of Germany and Cambridge Aero Instruments of USA.  They also supply the Australian made Microair 760 transceiver which mounts in a 57mm instrument hole and has interesting features not provided on any other transceiver.
